Bio

Blake Lyon is a Los Angeles-based director and writer whose work blends visceral storytelling with a deep curiosity for the world around him.

He began making short films as a teenager in Sacramento—first as a form of self-reflection, then as a way to ask bigger questions. That shift, from introspection to observation, continues to shape his approach to filmmaking today.

A graduate of NYU Tisch, Blake’s creative roots are grounded in both the technical rigor of production and a deep love for cinema. His work often blends the societal with the personal, the intimate with the surreal.

His most recent film, Me, Myself & AI, explores the entanglement of artificial intelligence, class privilege, and self-delusion. It has earned numerous international accolades including Best Director, Best International Short, and over a dozen festival selections.

As a director, Blake brings a clear visual language, collaborative mindset, and relentless focus to every project. He is drawn to stories about power, disconnection, and people on the edge—narratives that demand precision, daring, and emotional weight. Whether in branded content, short-form work, or narrative film, he builds productions that are bold, efficient, and always grounded in story.
